Sheryl Squires

Sheryl is a Senior Financial Consultant at FMA, providing Linked Learning Alliance with a skilled and experienced fiscal director. She brings a deep understanding of nonprofit accounting and finance through her work with FMA as well as previous positions. Prior to joining FMA, Sheryl worked as the Finance Director for Womens Community Clinic where she helped establish the organization as an independent 501c3, leading it through the separation from a fiscal sponsor and establishing a finance function from the ground up. There she managed the Clinic’s first audit, led the annual budgeting process and managed more than two dozen private and government grants.

As a self-employed consultant and CPA, Sheryl has served a wide variety of organizations in many roles, including fixed asset, inventory and cost accounting, human resources functions such as 401(k) audits and severance, as well as SEC reporting, Equity and Option Accounting.

Sheryl varied background brings forth experience from organizations of all sizes and industries, from start-up mode to Fortune 500 companies, from gold mining to online mortgages, and from for-profits to nonprofits.
